After the preparation of the tooth is complete and perfect (Dr. Thipthamai is a perfectionist) an impression will be made. This impression allows the talented dental ceramists to fabricate a natural looking aesthetic crown that will function just as well or even better than your original tooth.
We will then fabricate a temporary crown chairside that will be polished and cemented in. While the permanent crown is being made you will have your temporary crown securely fitted to your tooth. You will have to avoid crunchy, sticky foods to that is doesn’t break or come off. If it does come off, go ahead and put it back on promptly so the tooth doesn’t shift and you don’t become sensitive. If you cannot get it back on or you cannot find it, please visit our office in Downtown Greenville SC as soon as possible.
